Directors

Michael Nott (age 57), Group Managing Director and Chairman

Mike Nott brings 36 years of experience in mineral exploration and mining to the Managing Director's role. Mr. Nott began his career as an exploration and mining geologist, moving into the management of aggregate quarrying operations and then to senior roles in the aggregate and industrial mineral sector. Mr. Nott is currently CEO of Magyar Mining Plc and previous positions have included periods with ARC Southern Ltd, Hills Aggregates Ltd, as Director and General Manager, and Roan Consolidated Mines Ltd, as Exploration and Senior Mining Geologist.

Nigel Duxbury (age 45), Finance Director and Company Secretary

Nigel Duxbury is currently a director of EP&F Capital Plc, Andes Energia Plc and MediaZest Plc, all of which are quoted on AIM, and has extensive experience both as a finance director and senior executive in small and large quoted and unquoted companies within Europe, Asia and the USA. He has a background in finance and accountancy, having qualified as a chartered accountant (ACA) with Touche Ross, London.

Dr. Sandy Archibald (age 37), Technical Director

Sandy Archibald obtained a first-class honours geology degree from University of Glasgow in 1992, before undertaking an M.Sc. at Memorial University of Newfoundland. He completed a Ph.D. in economic geology at McGill University in 2002, where his research focused on gold-silver mineralization associated with active geothermal systems. In 2002, he co-founded Aurum Exploration Ltd, an Irish mineral exploration service provider. He is also a founding shareholder and director of AMR, a wholly owned subsidiary of Alba. In his position at AMR he used his extensive academic and industrial knowledge to identify a variety of exploration targets. Dr. Archibald is currently President of the Irish Association for Economic Geology.

Consultants and Advisers

Dr. I. Kerr Anderson

Alba has engaged the services of Dr. Kerr Anderson as special adviser, in relation to its Scottish and Irish projects. Dr. Anderson is a graduate of Glasgow University. He holds a Ph.D. from Strathclyde University completed on base-metal mineralization at the world-class Navan Zn-Pb deposit in the Republic of Ireland. Dr. Anderson has twenty years of technical and managerial experience in mine and project/regional exploration, working on projects in Ireland, Scotland, the Iberian Peninsula, North Africa and Eastern Europe. He has project management experience in base-metal (SEDEX, Irish-type and volcanogenic) and epithermal gold exploration projects within a broad variety of geological and geographical environments. He has held senior management positions with publicly quoted exploration and mining companies including Navan Resources plc and is presently Managing Director of Ormonde Mining plc.

Mr. Robin Leslie-Melville

Alba has engaged the services of Mr. Robin Leslie-Melville as a special adviser in relation to its ground access and land-related issues in Scotland. Robin Leslie-Melville has a B.A.(Hons) in Applied Economics, Diploma in Surveying and a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors he has over 15 years experience in managing large agricultural farms and estates in Scotland and the Isle of Man. Robin Leslie-Melville set up his own Land Management business in 2003 following a lengthy period with an international firm of Surveyors. Presently, he is involved in managing around 50,000 acres in Scotland including around 300 houses, several mansion houses, 10,000 acres of forestry, 20 miles of river fishings and over 70 members of staff.

Aurum Exploration Services Ltd.

Alba has engaged the services of Aurum Exploration Services Ltd., as the contract exploration services provider on exploration projects undertaken by the Group. Aurum specialises in the provision of geological and data solutions to the mineral exploration industry. Dr. Archibald is a shareholder and director of Aurum.
